Two Decades in Tech Sales Taught Me One Thing: The Story Wins.

So here’s the deal—20 years in the game, moving through tech sales, storytelling, leadership, all of it. I started out as a copywriter, spinning words, shaping narratives. But life had other plans. A few twists, a couple of detours, and somehow, I found myself deep in the world of tech sales—IBM, Box, Salesforce. The big leagues. And I learned something along the way—selling isn’t about the product, it’s about the story.

Fast forward to 2023, something shifted. A different energy in the air. The big company grind wasn’t clicking anymore. Maybe it was the layoffs, the chaos, or maybe it was me. But I saw something clear as day—the way we sell, the way we pitch, the way we tell our stories? It’s broken. And in a post-pandemic world, where urgency drowns out meaning, people aren’t connecting like they used to.

So I made a move. Took a bet on myself. TheSalesCycle was born. It started as a mission to help 2,000 laid-off tech sellers land their next gig by treating the job hunt like a sales cycle. But then, it grew. Startups, founders, revenue leaders—they all had the same problem. They had the product, the numbers, the vision. But no story.

Now, I work with Series A-C startups to fix that. Helping founders craft pitch decks that make investors lean in. Building value cases that close enterprise deals. Coaching leadership teams on how to sell with impact. Because at the end of the day, you don’t win by listing features—you win by telling a story that makes people believe.

This is what I do. This is what I help others do. And every time I help a startup tell their story the right way, I’m telling mine, too.

🚀 Let’s build something worth believing in.
